There’s just one twist to this fairy-tale however – Scarlet Hood’s Recursion Hex allows her to relive the same day again and again. During her journey, she meets a range of fantastical characters including witches, a tin knight, talking beasts and other monsters. Upon discovering this strange and fantastical dimension, it isn’t long before she takes up the mantle of the Red Witch, leading a troupe of Munchkins through the forbidden Wicked Wood. The game’s story follows the titular Scarlet Hood as she is transported to the realm of Glome via a rogue tornado.
Their distinctive manhwa style (as seen in South Korean comic books) is evident all over this upcoming release. Scarlet Hood is developed by Devespresso Games, creators of the popular survival horror Coma series.
The announcement was made by Headup via press release today. The Brothers Grimm eat your heart out – fantasy adventure puzzle game The Scarlet Hood and the Wicked Wood is coming to Steam Early Access on February 10.
